I had the same thoughts with you :D It's great we now have digital tools. Everyone gets to experience taking meaningful photos, unlike before, only those who really studied film may most likely have the permission to take ass-kicking pictures :)

Yes that is a nice idea but have you ever thought of going up to the biggest guy on the subway and telling him your thoughts on this. I wonder what he might do, or would you even do it.

I totally agree! I love digital compared to print - I hated having to develop the pics.... now it's just a quick button to upload and photoshop and voila!! Love it!

hey matt-

i took the picture from across the room with a 200mm lens, so the girls had no idea i was taking their photo. most of the time, even if you are right in someone's face, they pay no attention to the camera (or at least try to.) there are occasions, however, when you just have to tell the person to ignore you.

How do you get these kinds of candid shots? Do you take so many photos that they finally get used to you being there or do you tell them to not look at the camera?

These are Darkroom photographs, thats always fun to see. Do you feel like photographers tried harder when shooting when they didn't have photoshop to help them out or is it just faster and more convenient to be digital?

Hi Monty, thanks for the comment. The access to the players for the first half of the week is good. What I mean by good is that there are schedule times that you can talk with and photograph players and coaches. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday's before the Super Bowl there are press conferences with both teams in the morning.

The bigger named players, like Tom Brady, are up on a stage and you have to wait your turn to ask a question. The lesser known players are at tables where you can sit down with them. The press conferences last for about an hour. For the rest of the week you have no access to the players, until after the Super Bowl.
